My son Samad is just 2 years old. Since birth he cannot walk properly. Today, he is fighting for his life.
Samad was born with a hole in his heart. The doctors have told us that only surgery can save him and they said that the cost of the surgery would be around Rs. 2.6 Lakh.
Every morning before sunrise, his father loads bundles of fabric onto his old cycle and sets out, going door to door in the hope that someone will buy. Some days he earns a little. Some days he comes home with nothing. There is no fixed income.
A father who walks miles every day for his family now stands helpless.
