Aaref Khan

My name is Sagar Khan, and I am struggling to save my 12-year-old son, Aaref. From the day he was born, I wanted to give him a happy and healthy life, but fate had other plans. Aaref was born with a heart condition that we did not understand at the time. We thought he was just weak, that he would grow stronger with time. But as the years passed, his health only worsened.

Today, my son struggles to breathe, to walk, to play like other children. Doctors have told us that his heart needs urgent surgery. Without it, his condition will continue to decline and I cannot bear to think of what that means.

I am just a simple farmer, working in other people’s fields, earning barely ₹8,000-10,000 a month. This small income is hardly enough to feed my family, let alone cover the huge medical costs for Aaref’s treatment. No father should have to watch his child suffer, knowing that the only thing standing between life and death is money—something I do not have.

My son deserves a chance to live, to smile, to run without pain. I request Diya India Foundation to support his treatment in any way, my heart will forever be grateful. Aaref can get the second chance to live.

Every effort counts in giving Aaref the fighting chance he needs.
