Every day we see him crying and waling, watch him as he becomes breathless and the feeling of helplessness overpowers us.
I am a father of Baby Akhmad Nazarzoda who is only 5 months and is already battling between life and death. Even though we cares him, hold him, but his screams only grow louder. He runs out of breath so many times and whenever we see him breathless, the thought of losing him sends shivers down our spine.
Immediately after birth, baby Akhmad had to be admitted to the hospital for 10 days. But after that there was no improvement in his condition. As months passed he had severe congestion due to which he couldn’t sleep, His condition deteriorated during the night and early in the morning, we rushed him to a nearby hospital and after conducting tests, the doctors informed us that my little baby Akhmad Nazarzoda is suffering from congenital heart disease and requires urgent surgery to save his life.
Due to the severity of baby Akhmad’s case, doctors told us that Akhmad needed an urgent heart surgery to survive, But the surgery was not available in Tajikistan to India started. With the help of a translator, we got to know about Amrita hospital.
Baby Akhmad underwent successful heart surgery on very urgent basis, after the surgery the CT test was done and it was found that baby had Left Bronchomalacia (it is a condition that causes the cartilage in the bronchial tubes to weaken, leading to airway collapse in the lungs) and immediately Tracheostomy was done to help the baby to breath.
My Baby is currently in the ICU and will remain for approximately one more month. He requires CPAP ventilation for left bronchomalacia for 4 to 5 weeks.

I am working as a carpenter in Tajikistan and earning a very small amount. We have been struggling for the funds as we have exhausted all the money for my little baby’s treatment. Now we have nothing but we can only pray as we have no means to provide for his treatment.
