Yoga is a spiritual discipline that focuses on harmonising the mind and body. It is both an art and a science to live a healthy life. The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root "yuj," meaning "to join," "to yoke," or "to unite." The practise of yoga leads to the union of an individual’s consciousness with the universal consciousness, and in our day-to-day lifestyle and with a highly interconnected global economy, employees spend a large portion of their time in their offices. An unhealthy, unhappy employee will lead to inefficiencies, which directly affect your organization's outputs. Ensuring a company invests in the well-being of its people is one of the primary purposes of the People function. With this in mind, Nukleus collaborated with the Diya India team to host a chair yoga session for their employees. The session was specially conducted by Padma Shri Dr. S.C. Manchanda, who is a senior consultant cardiologist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He gave a practical session with an introduction to yoga and its importance in a restless lifestyle.
