Running through the fields is the only way for thechildrento reach the school, located in the bank of river Yamuna. They sit on the rugs with only a blue plastic sheet covering their heads from scorching heat in the summer. Their books are hanging out of their torn bags and they sit with slouch leaning over the books to read and write.
Diya India Foundation extended its support and provided 150 Deskits to the underprivileged children studying at Pragati Wheel School in Delhi. The excitement of the children touched the sky when they saw the new bag that could be used as a desk. Deskit can easily be used as a usual school bag to carry books and then later like a desk to keep the book to study at school and home both. Deskit is a way of making it easier for the children to concentrate on their studies even in such harsh conditions.
