Why are women treated as a second gender ?

‘Women’ a symbol of strength and power physically, mentally or emotionally!! Someone who has the edacity to fight, stand up and protect their loved ones at respective situations. Who would give up themselves, for the people they love and care about, rather than giving up on them. Playing several important roles as sister, mother and wife she has to stay fierce at times and even quite too. Some people mistakes this as their weakness and consider her to be the second gender, gender below a man, always.

This is the sad truth of this world which has been carried since traditional times and persists firmly, even now. Although there has been a bit of improvement but the difference is visible very hardly. Why is it important they consider a man’s opinion if she is performing a deed of her choice?

This gender differentiation starts even before those little feet’s take their first step into this big world. So, what are women supposed to think? Being a women, is a curse or a blessing? She is strong enough to give birth to a child but not strong enough to fight against a man. Does being just another male, gives you the right to treat women any way you want to?  What do you think the reasons could be?

Women’s themselves need to be blamed and help responsible first, for what their situation are as of today. If you can’t stand up for yourself, then do not expect even others too. Accepting the situation and compromising with it, not standing up against the wrong and letting the wrong happen is a sign of weakness. Even though it takes a lot of will power to compromise with something but it takes even more courage to stand up against it. Women are strong enough to fight for the wrong but only if they want to and they support one another. Degrading each other and giving man the superiority can never change the scenario. The main problem is women has taken this to be the reality of life and started live with it which is where they all loose. They all need to respect themselves first for others to respect them.

We all can see that the situation is much changed now than past times. It has improved the position of all the women of the world and has now started giving them more rights and power. But, has the mindset of the people also changed? Have they accepted the fact that there is no difference between men and women? Not everything can be changed through law and order unless and until people start paying respect to women with their will and heart. Dowry, Rape, domestic violence, humiliation at work places, at home, on streets, this is all the result of superiority of so called ‘man’. Male chauvinism is the most common practice across world and especially India. It’s high time now and people need to raise a voice against it and oppose it strongly. They need to believe in the fact that women are equally capable in doing any kind of task as any other man.

They can equally take part in all kind of activities whether related to politics, science, financials or military. They should not be separated on the basis of gender but on the basis of different criteria required for a certain job. Loosing temperament and letting ego and male chauvinism take over when a woman is earning more than a man would not help to improve the situation.

The world can only be a happy space only when we support one another to make a step forward regardless of any gender inequality. Accept women as our daughters and support them with all the heart. Hoping to not end this second thought for women by the end of this blog but taking it forward to see the change for a better space where everyone deserves what is meant to be!!
