Plantation
Today we live in a world of smog-filled air, concrete jungles in places of lush green forests, people wearing breathing masks all the time, no kids in parks and playground as there are no parks left.
It's a sad but harsh reality.
Plantation the only thing which can help us, humans, to stop climate change.
Tree plantation is good for the environment as everyone knows trees provide us oxygen, helps us keeping the AIR clean, helps in stabilizing the underground water level.
As we know many cities in India are the top most polluted cities in the whole world like for example- Every winter in Delhi people cannot move out of their houses because the air is so toxic that their eyes start burning, skin diseases, coughs and what not. Delhi is like a "Gas Chamber" in winters.
Planting more and more trees would help us to improve Delhi Air.
However, this is not the only reason why tree plantation is substantial; there are several other reasons which are listed below-:
Flood Control
Trees can hold a vast amount of water, that would otherwise stream downhills and surge along rivers into towns, that’s why trees are so important.
For example- Mumbai faces flood every monsoon it's because of the mangrove forest of Mumbai has been cut down to make big concrete forests.
Trees can control noise pollution
Trees can muffle urban noise almost as effectively as stone walls. In some cases, trees, a well-planted group of trees can reduce noise pollution by up to 10 decibels.
Mental Health
Feeling down, sad, depressed, or just had a low day, take a walk in the woods and just feel the fresh breeze your mood will change. Studies have shown that nature yields better functioning, more self-discipline, and better mental health. A study also found that the hospital patients who can see a tree out of their windows are hospitalized for fewer days than their counterparts.
Trees provide Shade and Cool
A full-grown tree can give perfect shade, this shade results in cooling. This shade helps in reducing the need for air conditioning units in summers. And also areas with less tree cover are 9 degrees warmer than the area with heavy tree cover.
Trees Fight Soil Erosion and help in stopping Landslides
Tree roots bind the soil, and their leaves break the force of wind and rain on soil. Trees fight soil erosion, conserve rainwater, reduce water runoff, and sediment deposits after storms.
It's our world, and it's our future if we have to live we have to plant or else we can choose to die. So its better that wherever we find a place we plant a tree and make this world greener and healthier.
