POSITIVE THINKING

One day an eight-year-old boy, Karan, was playing in a park, climbing tree. He was a good climber and soon climbed 30 feet high on a tree. He didn't realize that the branches were swinging in the wind and were soon about to break, he was just enjoying the moment. His cousin Samar, who was just a year older, started playing on the same tree. He climbed the tree and was just 10 feet below Karan. They both were having fun together. Karan's father and Samar's mother noticed that the kids were too high and they could fall. Before they could get to them, suddenly a gust of wind came over the tree and it started to sway. Karan could hear the voice of his father saying, “Hold on tightly!". Samar's mother was shouting, "Samar don't fall!!!". Seconds later, Samar fell down of the tree while Karan scampered carefully down the tree. Luckily, Samar wasn't injured.

After getting home, Samar's mother asked Karan's father, "I wonder why both of our boys were hanging but only Samar, the elder one fell down?". Karan's father replied, “When you told Samar to not fall, his mind processed your command. You see mind processes commands! It gets perplexed while processing fear and negativity. In order for Samar to respond to not falling, he first had to imagine falling and then try to tell brain not to fall.
When Karan was told to hold on tightly he had an image of just holding the bark tightly at the very first instance."

Samar's mother was intrigued at the thought! Although she was a believer in positive thinking today she saw its real-life implication!

It's very important to send right signals to your brain by being optimistic at times when life pushes one down. Because when everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind and not with it.
