Education for Underprivileged Children
Diya India Foundation believes that education is the basic necessity for every individual after food, clothes, and shelter and every child should get equal opportunities to attend school, learn and prosper in life. Sadly, the status quo of education in India is poor with over 8.4 crore children not getting an even basic education due to critical factors like poverty.
Gurukul is an initiative by Diya India Foundation to provide education to underprivileged children whose parents cannot afford their schooling. With good teachers, infrastructure, books, and stationary, we ensure that there is no compromise on the quality. Also, special care is given to the overall development of the child with co-curricular activities, ingraining the values of life in them as well as ensuring their mental, physical and social well-being. The goal is to ensure that monetary hindrance should not restrict them to grow up into successful and responsible adults.
We are currently supporting two schools running at Nihal Vihar, a slum area in Delhi, Chetan Vidya Mandir and Chetan Playway to give wings to their dreams.
