Welcome to Diya India


  • With one rented room, the Foundation started imparting education to 20 underprivileged children with 1 teacher. Today, Diya has two school buildings – Chetan Vidya Mandir and Chetan Playway School of its own.
  • Currently the Foundation has 380 students on its roll with 11 teachers, a principal and a vice principal with proper segregation of classes from pre-nursery to standard V.
  • The schools not only provide education at a minimal price, but also providessnacks, uniforms, books, stationary and regular medical check-ups. The schools focus on imparting moral values to the students.
  • School has well maintained Library, Computer & Science labs with separate hygienic toilets for girls and boys.
  • The Foundation has been able to educate more than 1500 children till date.
  • Foundation is also helping the aged and supporting old age homes on regular basis by distributing clothes and arranging free medical check-ups for the inmates.
  • Foundation has been providing free ration to visually challenged girls and BPL families.
  • Foundation has helped and supported physically challenged children by providing wheel chairs and callipers.
  • Foundation organized several AIDS awareness campaigns by performing street shows in BPl areas.
  • Foundation runs Diagnostic Centre at Nihal Vihar. All the tests at this centre are done at minimal rates.
  • Foundation in association with Yuva Parivartan launched Vocational Centre for nursing and beautician courses. All these courses are 9001: 2008 certified.
  • Foundation is catering to approx 1 lakh slum children through its Gender Resource Centre (GRC) at Mundka, West Delhi giving them vocational training.
  • Under GRC (Gender Resource Centre) project - 106 beneficiaries got certificates and 16 beneficiaries are Self-Employed.
  • 634 Beneficiaries Covered under regular Mass Awareness Camp about hygiene, legal counselling at GRC
  • 1469 No of beneficiaries covered under Health camps & OPD at GRC Center
  • 113 students and adults engaged under informal education, adult education and remedial education at GRC centre Mundka.
  • Chetan Vidya Mandir got an appreciation letter for social work and cleanliness of school from the UAE Embassy.
  • BPL women made self-reliant through skill development training for dress designing, bags designing beautician, bridal and other courses under project Samridhi.
  • Many young lives have been saved under project Udaan by providing financial aid.
  • By providing support and care to many elderly people the foundation has brought smiles on many wrinkled faces.
  • Foundation has held more than 40 health camps and screened more than 12,000 poor people for various health related issues.
  • Diya India Foundation adopted a park in Japanese Zone, Neemrana in association with Hirohama group and planted 2000 plants.
